Day 127 Joan just keeps on laughing.

Joan (Tracy's mother) has got to be busting a gut laughing at us.  The curse is spreading!!

Yesterday, we found out that Brion Toss (our rigger) blew his brakes on the way back from Burning Man down in Arizona.  He limped in to a town luckily avoiding any accident somewhere between here and there and can't leave till he gets new parts.  This means the mast won't go up on Thursday as had been planned.  Not sure when he will be back but figure by Friday.  That's the start of the Wooden Boat Festival so nothing will get done till Monday at the earliest.

Yesterday, as the painter was spraying the boom with another coat of paint--first one got botched.  The pot that holds the paint on the spray gun blew off spraying him with lots of blue paint.  He's alright but had blue up and down both his arms.

We got another bill over the weekend and thought it wasn't to bad.  Still in the low five figure range.  We thought we were doing  alright with expenses until we figured out that the bill we got yesterday wasn't an ongoing total bill, just a weekly bill!!!  We had to combine the first bill(in the 5 figures) we got with the second bill with the second bill we got(five figures) for a total bill of what has been done so far.  WOW!!! We sure have spent a bucket load of money!!!    We are now watching the workmen as to the actual amount of hours they are working rather than just trusting them.  I'm sure most of the hours they write down are accurate but at $65.-$75 pet hours, it can add up real fast.

Tracy has an appointment with a masseuse this afternoon to try and get herself straightened out.  She feel somewhat better but it still hurts to walk unless she turns her body into some twisted position.  I on the other hand am just taking the steps one at a time for a while until the hamstring gets better.  It's not as bad as it was last winter but still is a bit nagging.

The weather continues to be cool but it clears in the late morning so the rest of the day is quite pleasant.  Chilly enough to wear a sweater but pleasant.

We're not sure when the mast will be going up as of this morning but figure early next week.  Meanwhile the workmen are working like busy bees.  The teak is getting installed in stages on the bow and should be done today.

The electrical is still on going and we aren't sure when he will certify us as safe and sound.  More breaker on the electrical panel are getting changed out.  A 50 amp breaker had been installed where a 30 amp was called for as the main breaker. Not sure why as with a 50 amp breaker, it won't trip until it hits 50 amps and the circuits are set up for only a 30 amp circuit.  Without the proper circuit breaker installed, if a circuit gets over loaded, it won't blow until it hits that load.  Fires could ensue.

Oh well, the fun continues.  We just will have to wait a bit longer for us to be part of it.
